JIT News - O&G Players, SapCrest,Ranhill/Muhibbah.. 28/1/2011

O&G: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) expects to announce four marginal oilfield development projects by April 2011, of which two will be revealed “soon”. The bidding process for the two much talked about marginal fields, namely Sepat and Berantai, had concluded. Petronas is still negotiating on certain details…would be announced soon. In addition, another marginal oilfields have been opened up for bid currently (Jan 27 2011) which are expected to announce in April 2011.

Ranhill/Muhibbah: Ranhill’s 51% owned Ranhill WorleyParsons Sdn Bhd has a 70% stake in the consortium with Muhibbah Engineering Bhd, making it the major beneficiary.


SapCrest: SapuraCrest was one of the front-runners for the Cendor and Berantai projects. Given its good track record and ownership of strategic assets, SapuraCrest is also a potential beneficiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) upcoming contracts.
